Scrap

#1 Scrap: 1/4 inch and over in thickness. Cut 36″ x 18″ (prepared in a manner to insure compact charging) all pipe 8″ or over must be split must be free of the following :

cast iron * galvanized or chrome steel * aluminum * die cast * electric motors * other non-ferrous metals

  • No rebar
  • No truck rear ends (with gears)
  • No hubs with shoes
  • No truck frames with rubber hoses or copper wiring
  • No automotive scrap
  • No closed or pressurized cylinders
  • No cable

#2 Scrap: cut 36″ x 18″ (prepared in same manner as #1 scrap) must be free of the following:

cast iron * aluminum * die cast electric motors * other non-ferrous metals

  • No uncut torque converters
  • No shock absorbers
  • No brake shoes
  • No cluch plates
  • No closed or pressurized cylinders are allowed

Unprepared and Mixed scrap: steel scrap that is not cut to size.

  • No tires
  • No wood
  • No plastic
  • No rubber
  • No waste or closed or pressurized cylinders are allowed

Clean cast iron: Prepared size 24″ x 30″ and no piece over 150 lbs motor blocks, heads, manifolds, truck sleeves, machinery, and agricuiltrial cast |ron(no wheel weights over 3 in. Thick). Must be free of:

aluminum * die cast * non- ferrous metals

  • No porcelain cast (bath tubs)
  • No sewer pipe
  • No window weights
  • No steam radiator cast

Dirty and Oversize cast iron: Porcelain cast ( bath tubs ) sewer pipe, truck (diesel), irrigation motors and non-ferrous metals. Any pieces over the size or weight limit

  • Drained of fluids

.Unstripped motor blocks: Auto motors only.

  • No steel frames on motors
  • Drained of fluids

Tin: all appliances, auto body parts, hot water heaters, barn siding

  • No seal units
  • No propane bottles
  • No wood
  • No material with large amount of waste
  • No closed or pressurized cylinders are allowed

Light Gauge Tin: Light tin and steel free of insulation, tar, wood, waste

Electric motors:

  • No frames
  • No pulleys
  • No fan blades

Seal Units:

  • No steel attachments, crimp lines so no oil will leak out
